The rule

JAMS News only carries outlets that AllSides rates Left, Lean Left, or Center, plus international outlets AllSides hasn’t rated. Outlets rated Lean Right or Right are excluded, and their links are blocked even if another feed or service passes them along. Ratings were last checked against AllSides chart 2026-09-25 (chart v12).

AllSides rates bias from a US point of view and mainly covers US outlets. Many of the world’s best newsrooms aren’t on its chart, so they appear here as “Not rated”.

A world view, not a US one

Sources span Africa, the Americas, Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, and South Asia. Stories are tagged by the places they mention, and Top stories deliberately mixes regions so no single country fills the page. “Around the world” shows the leading story from each region.

Stories, not duplicates

When several outlets report the same event, JAMS News groups them into one story. The number of outlets covering it helps decide what rises to the top. Tap “sources” on any story to compare how each outlet framed it.

The Trump filter

It’s off until you turn it on. When it’s on, any story whose headline or summary mentions Donald Trump, his family, or MAGA is hidden, including grouped stories where only one outlet mentions him. You can also mute any word or name you like. Filters run in your browser; the setting never leaves your device.

Freshness

Feeds are checked every 10 minutes. The page checks for new stories every five minutes while it’s open and tells you instead of reshuffling what you’re reading.

Privacy

No accounts, no ads, no tracking scripts. Saved stories, reading history, and settings are stored in your browser. Location is only requested if you tap the weather widget, and it’s sent directly to Open-Meteo for the forecast.
